One of our very own families serves with SRS International, a sports ministry based in Altenkirchen, Germany. Todd Pruitt serves as international coordinator for SRS International. In partnership with different agencies, churches, and individuals they envision, launch, build, and develop ministry to coaches and athletes and through sports in European countries that have little or no sports ministry. Strategic Partnership Projects of SRS International include partners from Italy, Romania, Hungry, Austria, Switzerland, Malta, and beyond Europe to include India, Peru, Brazil and Uruguay. Locally in Germany the Pruitts are involved with the SRS value initiative where they work in integrative sports with refugees.

The goal of this ministry is to support and encourage our sister church, First Baptist Church of Bistrita, Romania. Edgewood partners with There Is Hope Foundation in this ministry outreach.
First Baptist Bistrita has already planted over thirty mission churches in the surrounding areas and our teams visit many of them to sing, teach, share testimonies and encourage believers. We’ve also sung in public concerts to draw townspeople to hear the gospel and visited local orphanages to share the love of Christ. Utilizing a curriculum developed by team members, week long schools (School of Heroes) are held where children are introduced to the stories of Bible heroes and, most importantly, the saviour of mankind, Jesus Christ!
In addition, medical and dental personnel from Edgewood have been given permission to work alongside Romanian medical workers to assist and provide much needed training.
